On October 12, 2000 Louis collapsed during soccer practice on Macclesfield in Bucks County, PA. With his Mom there with him, his coach and two bystanders rendered aid.
They immediately performed CPR in an attempt to save his life. Sadly, without an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), they could not restart his heart.
However, that didn't stop them from trying until EMS arrived.
Louis' Coach and those two Good Samaritans will forever be remembered for their courageous actions.

Our Foundation was formed in December, 2000 in memory of Louis T. Savino, III.
Louis' commitment to community service during his short life inspired us to create this Foundation to save lives and prevent similar tragedies
Louis died of an unsuspected congenital heart disorder known as
Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM).
HCM consists of a thickening of the heart muscle, which disrupts the main pumping
chamber of the heart.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) does not need to end in loss of life. Seconds count & waiting for emergency help to arrive wastes precious minutes.
You CAN take action!
This is the Cardiac Chain of Survival

22 Years of Funding AEDs & Lifesaving Training
Every three days...
a young person is lost in the US due to sudden cardiac death.
Lack of an AED on-site and personnel trained to save a life
prevent all attempts to avoid these tragedies.
